In São Paulo and Brazil, we have a lot of typical
foods, including paçoca, tapioca and many others, but most of our food is from
different countries. This happened because in the last two centuries, a lot of immigrants
like Italians, Germans, English, Dutch, Arabs, Spanish and a lot more came to
Brazil to start a new life. With this, the brought us new cultures, including
their food. In São Paulo, the city where we live, there are some neighborhoods
that are formed by immigrants. In Liberdade, a neighborhood in São Paulo, you
can see that it’s formed by Chinese and Japanese people, because of the
buildings and the food. We also have some foods that the Indians that lived
here in the past left us.
